Dave Bautista Drastic Weight Loss Stuns Fans

Dave Bautista brought a dramatically new look of a slim man to the event, which took place during the TIFF.

The Last Showgirl actor and 55-year-old former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista brought a dramatically new look of a slim man to the event, which took place during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Bautista, famous for his muscular build, was much more slender whenever he stepped out for the red carpet event; he donned a black suit, pearl necklaces, and dark sunglasses.

Fans React to the New Look of Dave Bautista:

The fans had something to talk about with the help of social media to react to Bautista’s body transformation. As this source shows, one of the X users showed the difference between how he looks now and in 2022 and 2024, when he was muscular but now slender. Some of the fans were so shocked by the change in Dave Bautista that they questioned what happened to him, and some of the fans defended the actor by arguing that it is natural for any actor to change as they age and shift careers. One user said there is no more excitement in life: ‘He wrestled, and now he acts,’ one user said. Another said, “Bautista is 55. He’s supposed to get smaller… He has naturally gotten smaller muscle-wise over the years.

Some viewers also accepted Bautista’s changing career as one of the factors that prompted the change. Inside, a user says, “He doesn’t want to just sit and wait for action or shooting movies; he wants to act; that is his passion… Now, he lost the weight and built for this new phase of life.”

Bautista Discusses His Weight Loss Journey:

During the interview that Bautista had with Chris Van Vliet, he revealed the methods and programs he uses to lose weight. “I am getting super trimmed; this is probably the lightest I have been since I was 19,” Bautista said. “The most I have ever weighed is about 370 lbs. Throughout most of my wrestling career, I estimated around 290 lbs. Now I’m about 240 lbs.” He then talked about the difficulties of cutting down weight, especially after shooting 315 lbs for Knock at the Cabin. ‘Taking that weight off was never easy. Now I make sure I watch what I eat.’

Next, fans can watch Bautista in The Killer’s Game, with Sofia Boutella, in theaters on September 13th.
