This Hollywood actress, Julia Roberts, had smooth relationships but sometimes troubled relationships with her elder brother, Eric Roberts.

The two may be siblings, but like any other siblings, they both have fallen apart in public and were not on speaking terms at one point. In an article I read the other day, it looked like Julia might be ready to cut off both contact and sex.

Eric Roberts’ Controversial Statements:

Julia Roberts has a brother named Eric Roberts, who is twelve years older and has had many unpleasant things to say about her life and career. In an interview early in 2018, Joy learned from Wainaina that he had felt he was instrumental in Ms Julia’s success. Even though he apologizes later in the movie and says he has never seen one, the statement remains in society.

Also, Eric did not mince his words about Julia’s acting in the 1989 Steel Magnolias movie, for which she won an Oscar nomination. This only stirred up their conflict because he criticized her work. The siblings fell out in 2004 but are said to have reconciled early this year. However, a new article in In Touch Weekly states that Julia has not completely dissociated herself from her brother.

Julia Roberts’ Stance on Eric:

One of Julia Roberts’s anonymous friends said the ‘Pretty Woman’ actress has been deeply hurt by her brother. The friend retorted, “Julia is 12 years younger than Eric, and he had already moved out of the house by the time she was in second grade.

She stated that as far as Eric is concerned, he does not know anything about her and that he used her story to promote his book, which she cannot forgive him for, but she does not have to tell him. Honestly, if ever she decides not to talk to him again!”

The book referred to in the report is Eric’s recently released memoir, Runaway Train: or The Story of My Life So Far, in which he talks, or perhaps not so discreetly, about facets of Julia’s life, to her chagrin.
